I’m currently in the process of importing my wooden cabin that I made within 3ds Max into Unreal. However, when I enter the cabin in Unreal, I can see through the roof, and this something that I don’t want. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to fix this issue? Any help will be appreciated.
HI!
It call backface culling. This is answer for MAYA, but this actual for 3d MAX too.
You can use zero thickness wall, but you need create two-sided material.
If normals in the model are correct, do you really need to use a two-sided material if you only want to be able to see the ceiling from inside?
That’s the thing, the normals aren’t correct. I don’t really have time to remodel the cabin, so is there a way to solve the normals out?
Thanks, but is this still possible if you already have textures assigned to the cabin? In Maya, you can’t see through the roof now, but when imported in Unreal I’m still having the same problem.
