Why can i not apply material?

Here is a GIF of how it looks when I attempt to drag and drop a material on to an object.
If you watch the top left of the screen where it says “StudioMyreze” you will notice it blinking yellow. What does this mean?

I think you are trying to apply texture. You can also apply material by selecting object and changing it through details panel of the object. Try doing that

He is applying a material. Textures have a red line on the thumbnail.

Two questions:

  • Have you tried setting the material in the Details panel instead of dragging and dropping?
  • Are the UVs on the mesh unwrapped properly?
