My weights are fine I’m sure, but once I apply some very gentle cloth physics (value of 8) it acts like this, then even if I put 50 value physics on it, it still acts crazy like gravity doesn’t exist and it’s being stretched somewhere else.
It does this on both sleeves. Can someone tell me why this is happening please, or how to solve it?
From the looks of your footage, either the weight paint in the sleeves, or the physics component in the torso, are affecting the lower hanging section of the cloth. Please check the extended thread below, I believe their findings will be useful for your case:
Hi there, the weight painting should be ok, if I move the arm without physics, the sleeve moves as expected but once I apply physics paint, it explodes. But the weight paint for the armature is very light and specific. It doesn’t cover the whole sleeve except for the bicep bone, which has very light influence over the entire sleeve to ensure that it moves with the IK. I’ll check this thread, thank you
Editing the tethering didn’t really change a thing here. It does look like the same issue though, my weights are fine and the movement works fine without physics applied so no mesh stretching or issues there. As soon as physics is on and even with a very low value, it does this behaviour
