Why am I respawning instead of immediately spectating?

Summary

So I have created a system where on interacting with a button a class selector device changes you to a certain class and a damage volume that is in the same place where you interact with the button kills a person of that class. I also have a class designer for the spectate class and have spawn limit set to 1. But it respawns me the first time instead of just a player immediately going to spectate which is the problem. For my island settings I have after last spawn go to spectate as well.
