You would plug it into Roughness.

but with a gloss map im sure white = more gloss black = less, with roughness its the opposite i think my guess is that you can invert the gloss colours then plug it in to roughness please tell me if im wrong im pretty new to game art
Thats right. You’d take your map, where 1 = pin sharp reflections, and run it through a OneMinus node into the Roughness input on the material node.
