Hey, I have the following problem. I started building a map about 2 months ago. On this map I imported assets and they worked normally. So I could start the session and so on. But now I imported the exact same asset into another map and now I get the “Found disallowed object type” error. I think I also used the same settings when importing. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Gladly I also answer any follow-up questions
a staff told me on my post about this it is an issue with uefn with some assets from sketchfab. another post i read said some can fix and some are unlucky and will have to wait on a fix. only thing known to try at this point is copying assets then deleting and repasting or deleting from project and re-importing. if neither of those work you are probably in the same boat as me and just waiting for a fix.
Thanks for the reply, yes my assets are indeed 3D models from Sketchfab. The problem seems to be recent, because before everything worked without problems. I’m glad to see that others are having the same problem and we can hope for a fix. I’m also glad that I imported all the assets I needed into my map before the problem occurred. Let’s hope this problem is fix soon
absolutely, and glad to help. we are all in this together! FBX models seem to be working, they are more of a pain (imo) but if you learn how to get them in and put them together they seem to be working. i tried pushing the project with the obj files and it said nope not today, replaced with the same asset but fbx and works fine. took some adjustment to figure out the diffrences in types but after a few youtube videos im back at it with a different asset type until it is fixed. good luck!
