Currently I am developing a Wheelchair Simulator in Unreal Engine.
I’ve developed the wheelchair in Maya and gave it some joints as can be seen it this tutorial: Vehicle Modeling/Rigging Tutorial in Maya for Unreal Engine 4 - YouTube
Even though I’ve done this a couple of times before, my wheelchair just doesn’t seem to work properly. Instead of moving forward (when using W), it’s moving sideways (on the X-axis). I’ve made an animation blueprint, and it seems that the wheels are using Pitch instead of Roll. I am not sure, but this might be due to the fact that UE4 imported the model (from Maya) wrong, and its sideways moving is in fact ‘forward moving’. However, I am not sure, because steering the wheels works just fine.
