What would cause my particle system to speed up in game

Hi guys. I am having a problem using GPU Sprites. I am trying to add a simple snow effect to my project but for some reason it shows up and looks good in the editor and in a new level but is horrendously sped up and hard to see on my world composition testing level. Any ideas why this might be happening? There is nothing in the level blueprint at the moment.
