I have this scoreboard that has shown up at the top of the game and I have no idea why it’s there and can’t figure out for the life of me how to get rid of it or make it work.
Why does it have -1 in the middle for “goal”? How does this get set up to show or hide?
Ok, I thought so, but I can’t turn it off… I see it in the island settings, is there any other spot that it can be turned off or fixed? Why does it say the goal is -1?
I think it uses -1 as a default value for some reason, I checked on a blank map, I got -1 on goal and with no teams it has blank bars, both with -1.
Otherwise I don’t know, you got any overrides in a HUD Controller or Teams Settings ?
I have literally looked everywhere. I can’t figure out how to even hide it… I wish somebody who knew exactly what this is would just write it out somewhere, the documentation sucks for so many aspects of the development tool. Obviously really good in some too
This is called the Top Center Score HUD as @Hardcawcanary said. There is an Island Setting called Show Top Center Score HUD that you can set to false. See the Island Settings documentation page for more information.
As mentioned, I do have it set to false and it still shows. Is there not a single tutorial out there that talks about how to show the score like this? I can’t find a thing and this thing doesn’t even work properly. Why would it show -1 as a goal? Why can’t I get a single answer for that? Perhaps nobody knows due to a lack of docs? I really want to know. If I can get help figuring it out, then I’m happy to be the guy to make a tutorial but this makes no sense so far.
Well I had a look at the blank map again, turned it off, it disappeared on launch, turned it on and added a HUD Controller, it was gone, deleted the HUD Controller and it was still gone, even though I had it checked on…
Thank you. I appreciate the try. I think it might have to do with the team_settings_and_inventory_device as there is another post on how it’s messing things up for somebody:
