I have a MacBook Pro from late 2011 and want to know which version of UE4 my laptop will be able to run. Here is some information about my mac:
Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
Serial Number C02HJPTRDV13
The OpenGL version is 3.3
As far as I know HD3000 is (was?) unsupported on Mac. It’s unlikely you’ll be able to launch the editor. Some folks claimed to have it running under Windows but very poorly. Also, 4GB of memory is just not enough, that RAM will need to be shared with the GPU, too.
UE4 versions have little to do with it. Admittedly, later version are better optimised and have fewer bugs. The best case scenario is that even if you manage to launch the editor, it will barely work on the lowest settings.
UE4 is a power hungry beast.
