The trails are driving me nuts, i have turned on and off the post processing and nothing seems to change…
Seems to be coming from that campfire… Inside the house it didnt do that if i saw that correctly. Did you try altering your shadow settings ? Could it be motion blur ? (it is enabled by default in the project settings, so if you turn your post effects volume off it is still enabled)

thanks for giving me a place to look, it was AA, It was set on temperal. once changed to FXAA trails vanished.
