what is blurry textures

They said me the textures are blurry. As I understand my problem is in incorrect angle of the cage when I bake my maps which have been source of displacement texture, is it correct? I need to rebake or fix the blur in photoshop or is it some other cause?

Hey there @mumum600! Welcome back to the community! Your textures could be blurry for a large number of reasons. UVs improperly set up can cause many types of distortions, I’d first verify how the object with textures applied looks in your modeling tools before exporting them to Unreal to verify if UE is the culprit. If the UVs need rebaking you’ll have to do that in your modeling tool first anyway.

If it turns out that UE is causing the distortion, it could be caused by mipmaps, texture compression, LODs, Anti aliasing, or even just your scalability settings.

The best answer would be, hey man I’d can say how smart we are and how lil you know about pipeline but you asked a simple question which has got simple answer, the problem isn’t in blur but in stretching, yes yes, they said you blurry but you know, nobody want to make that life simple, u have to struggle! but the truth is just go Maya ->“UV Master” → “Polygon” ->push square for “Layout” settings, yes yes you a newbie ->“Scale Mode” ->“Shell stacking” → “World” ->“Uniform” ->“Rotate” ->“None” >“Layout UVs”! Because your problem is in the texel my friend, wish you money at last!
