Hello to everybody, I am new with Unreal Engine although I am not new with 3d and Unreal Tournament
I was playing with google cardboard but that was cheap and low quality VR (only rotation) but it was good for purpose. Now I want to bring it to another level for architectural visualisation, but I am not sure what hardware is best for UT engine. I am in dilemma between Oculus Rift and HTC vive. Also there is Razor OSVR and Fove, Fove have deep of field option and razor was cheap and good, but everybody are telling me that best are HTC and Oculus. What would you recommend? I am more orientated to HTC, Oculus is not openโฆ
It all depends on your budget. OSVR is affordable but as far as I have heard, the tracking still needs improvement but that is still in development but some have been getting good results with using oculus sdk to fix most problems. But if you are going to pay more, figure out if you want to have your hands in game. VR is still in its infancy, so things will get better as more development.
well i gotta stay on tracks, I dont have time to wait for more development, VR as I can see on youtube went far enough for good quality, I am looking at this HTC looks like good deal to me? Definitely gonna buy Project Morpheus for PS4 and Project Cars. Who know maybe if I see bigger opportunity I switch arch with game business
Right now I would say the best and most complete package is the Vive. You could wait a few months when Oculus releases their motion controllers and see how they compare then.
