What happened to Interactive Foliage?

As far as I know, nothing is being done to add the Interactive Foliage function present in UDK into UE4. The closest thing would be be this: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLT4SeajOa6mbF_zINb7qE5yc7-g1FaqaP but it really feels unnecessarily complicated to overcome the lack of this once very easily accessible feature.

How come this isn’t talked about? I can’t imagine a game today, especially with the level of detail most are striving for, having completely static/pass through foliage.

Is this being worked on? Is there any way we could ping Epic about this and voice our need for such a feature? (I couldn’t find it on the Trello board, which leads me to think it’s not even being considered, sadly).

yeah same atm I’m trying to make something with World Position Offset to get a similar effect.
