I’ve been messing with Unreal Engine 4 for the past few weeks, after getting mostly used to how it works (having moved up from modding DOOM, a mod of DOOM at least.) I have started to put together a level I have been wanting to rebuild in something better than DOOM. I finally got it to a place where I feel comfortable showing it , there is still a lot of things I have to do to get it working the way I want it to, but it looks nice right now!
The main idea of the level is a dark cave system illuminated by glowing crystals and lava, that the player must traverse to reach the end, giving the level its name, Radiant Caverns. There are things I have yet to figure out how to do that I am stumped on, one of these is damage for the regenerative health system (shouldn’t be too hard, plenty of examples for health and damage.), and the other is getting swimming animations play when underwater (I am totally lost on , I have torn place apart looking for answers, but have found nothing on topic, would love to have some help.).
Thoughts are more than welcome, as I am hoping to get thing fully playable at some point.
