Weird Shadow moving with head movement in VR

Hi,

I have noticed weird shadow movement on my DK2. If you have no directional lights you get weird shadow movements when you move your head. It is easy to reproduce.

  • Take the VR template
  • Open the HMD Locmotion Map
  • Delete all lights and the “sky”
  • Set a point light (stationary) near the cubes
  • Build lights
  • Start VR preview and move your head.

You will notice that the shadows are moving a little bit too. It confuses some user because many people are asking if they have a light stitched to their head.

Is this a typical shadow problem on dark maps and lvls with VR?

I always have 75 FPS.
All lightining and post process settings are like in the VR template.

Can someone help me with this? How can I create dark levels without shadow moving/flickering?

Ok. I did some further tests. It only appears, when you have really dark black shadows bordering the light. How can avoid this or how can I build really dark maps for VR?
To reproduce this you need a really dark level.
