Weird Landscape Shadow Issue

I have these weird shadows on my landscape, that isn’t even using displacement.

The only solution I found was changing from “Virtual Shadow Maps” to “Shadow Maps”, but since shadow maps can’t be used with nanite, this is not optimal.

This is in UE 5.3

Try this:

That did fix most of the weirdness. Now shadows are where they supposed to be, but they are still low quality, as if low poly

I’m guessing this is because the vertices of landscape are not dense (faces are large).

This is not as bad, but still is there a solution for this in 5.3, since the nanite landscape is available only from 5.4, which is still in preview.

Try enabling Nanite on your landscape (and resetting max lod to -1)
