weird flickering on reflections

so i’ve got this gramophone giving off this weird reflection that shouldn’t really be there and on top of that it flickers.
it disappears if camera gets further away.
i’ve tried making the material double sided. changed values of reflection captures. and relocating the gramophone but none worked.

here’s a gif showing the problem

what are material settings for that part of the gramophone? is the project using Temporal AA?

Have you disabled SSR?

why does SSR and metallic surfaces cause flickering?

all material settings are on default and temporal AA is off

do you mean screen space reflection global illumination in project settings? cause that’s the only place i’m finding screen space reflection settings. if that’s the case then no

oh i figured it out. it was SSR. I turned the value to zero on the camera

To be honest I didn’t see flickering just changing reflection which is always SSR!
I thought it will be a bug since a few people were showing up on the forum with similar problems…

I’ve seen the SSR / reflections problem on the forum elsewhere too. I don’t recall it being an issue in 4.23 or earlier 4.24 versions. Maybe using subsurface profile or additive blend mode would prevent it.

Can someone please help me out?
