First, I’m sorry if this issue has already been discussed on the forum, I couldn’t find it.
I have a COLMAP project that I can import with RC. Although the camera poses are in a canonical coordinate frame, everything gets rotated in a strange way after importing in RC.
If from the SfM points I reconstruct a mesh (externally), and import it as external model, it does not fit the image poses at all (whatever frame transformation option I chose - it looks like there is a nontrivial rotation between the two).
Is this something that other users have been experiencing ?

If the COLMAP was created in some 3rd party application, it is possible it uses different axis orientations or rotation. How does the imported file look in RealityCapture? Is it possible to set the orientation using the Set Ground Plane tool?

To import some models Reality Capture uses a special RCInfo file to get a proper position and orientation. As the model was created in some other application, this file is basically missing and therefore it is not imported properly. You can try to use this workaround to import the handheld scans into RealityCapture, where the basic principle should be the same (to import external file properly into RealityCapture).
