Waterbody Ocean + Brush modifiers

Hello everyone, I am using Mesh Terrain on 5.8. In this scene, I have a remeshmodifier and a brush modifier used to make this cave/indent into the main meshterrain/ mesh partition. My issue is the waterbodyocean doesn’t continue all the way to the modified portion of the mesh.

Is this a distance field thing or something?

If anyone has encountered something similar (I am new to UE in general so I’m not entirely sure if it has anything to do with mesh terrain) please let me know!

I haven’t tested it out yet but in the mean time the only thing I can think of right now as a solution is to make a less wavy waterbody lake which doesn’t affect terrain and blend it into the waterbody ocean to make the water stretch further into the cave.

This scenario reminds me of a similar case encountered last week. Please check the thread below, and test the methods and solutions implemented there:

It could be a water Body limitation rather than Mesh Terrain. Check the water zone bounds and distance field settings first. If that doesn’t help, blending a Water Body Lake into the cave is a practical workaround.
