WaterBody Fluid Simulation broken on UE5.3.2?

I was following this tutorial video on how to use the Water plugin’s fluid simulation to add ripples and wakes as players/objects move through the water bodies, and it simply wasn’t working on my end no matter what I tweaked or where objects were placed.

Then I decided to try following it in Unreal 5.2.1, and it worked exactly as expected. Am I missing a step or has the way this feature is implemented change with 5.3.x? Or has the Water plugin partially broken with the latest engine version?
