Water system buoyancy stability

Anybody knows how to make actor with buoyancy reliably conform to water surface? I have a dude in a row boat and It looks ok most of the time but on the medium sized waves boat sort of jiggles on the wave top, then ‘falls’ down and then bounces up and down again when it reaches wave bottom, water hole masking all over the place. Seems like gravity is slower than waves amplitude or sth. Is there reliable way to make it more stable?

Hello! I’ve been having the same issue and I think it’s a bug.
If you stumble across the same problem try using an Open Wolrd level.

By looking into it I noticed this problem is happening only on Basic levels and it looks correct on Open World levels.

sort of, you can ‘move’ the whole actor with water surface using material world position offset, at least it it’s something simple like here:
