[Water Plugin] River disappears after changing values from island body

Hi! I’m also new to the UE5 and started some weeks ago. I still want to create my first map. I want to have a river which floats in three smaller arms. So I started with the Water PLugin. Well, after some pain I got the creation like I want it to be. I also wanted a lake and a island. But when i am changing the settings of the island, the rivers “disappear” (in fact they are messing around again). I don’t know what I am doiing wrong. Maybe some expert can help me here. I know that my values for the river are really weird. I also created a third layer on top of the water layer to fix things. Maybe this is an issue, too?

Before changing the hovered value of the island:

After changing:

River seems to are misconfigured now:

As I mentioned, its my first world, so some river values are really strange I guess. Maybe there is the problem. Here are the river and landscape layer settings:

I use UE 5.0.3.

I remeber, that I moved the Water Brush Managers location around. I’ve tested on other maps with it. It seems, that the water also messes up, when I moved the Manager… Is there way to reinitialize the manager? Maybe the heightmap is buggy now.

I hope someone can help me. Thank you very much.

Hello Driftsau69, welcome to the Unreal community.

I was able to reproduce this as well by moving the Landscape_WaterBrushManager and then slightly moving the river. If you set the Landscape_WaterBrushManager back to 0,0,0 (if your landscape isn’t, I would try to set it to 0,0,0 as well if you can help it). After setting it back to 0,0,0, slightly moving the river should restore its original state.

I hope this helps

Hi Polite_Muon,

I tried it, but it doesn’t work for me. I located the WaterBrushManager and the landscape on 0,0,0, moved the river, island and lake slightly, but only the lake got fixed. I will just try to redo the river part. But thank you very much, for your help!
