I am trying to explore the physics of the engine and I was wondering :
Is it possible to make an object (weapon or else) firing some fluid (water or coloured water?) Idealy, that would be paint, so there should be a different viscosity than water.
Is it possible to make this same object firing a liquid (idealy water) that cleanses this paint?
Is it possible to give properties (gameplay changes) to any object or surface covered with a liquid? As exemple : walking on water drenches you.
Basicely, I was trying to do a very hugly simple version of Super Mario Sunshine, and then I just wondered if that was ever possible.
Is there any tutorials about liquids physics? I am still looking for it at the moment.
The best way to do this is to use Nvidia fleX, I believe you can get a build of UE4 with this included from their github account but I’ve not looked into it myself…
Flex would be needed for viscosity but there is no way to at least make a gun shooting particles (water)?
As You said, no game or mod is of any interest if it excludes some players
In that case, is this possible to divide a surface into several squares (in terms of script, not of texture) and change the properties of a fixed number of squares around a bullet impact? The number of squares and the properties change depending on the properties of the bullet itself?
Ok, I managed to figure out how to describe in a better way what I would like to do. I would like to make a gun like the bio that shoots some kind of goo.
I don’t need to spawn the entities that represent the goo ball itself but I am trying to increase the smudge size and changing the properties of the surface where the smudge appears. In very short words, that would be typicaly the paint gun from Aperture Tag https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yd5CV1l1mY
