"waiting for texture resources to be ready for multiple landscapes" then the editor crashes

I’ve been experiencing a new issue since the latest update on Saturday for UEFN where i load into my project level and it immediately crashes when i try and move or open something in the editor. and to make things even worse for me i have it so the editor opens my last level i was last on so the crashing is impossible to avoid.

I do notice when it does crash it could be cause by “waiting for texture resources to be ready for multiple landscapes” cause that tries to load then the crash happens. i have sent and closed the crash reports when the editor crashes, and I’ve tried everything i can to try and get around this issue and nothing has worked that I’ve tried to do, unless there is a certain type of code i have to edit to make it work again within the project/editor but not to certain if i can do anything to fix it.

Hey Lime,

Try going to your Documents\Fortnite Projects folder and move the project folder to somewhere else on your hard drive so the editor can’t find it. Hopefully it will stop the open last project in editor and If you want to revert to the last snapshot it will give you a download icon.
Move the folder back afterwards if you want to try to troubleshoot it.

How many different Landscapes have you got ?
Are you using a customizable Landscape ?

I have 3 different landscapes and yes I am using 4 custom landscapes I think?

Is it possible that you’ve got textures not following the power of 2 rule in the paint layers ?

Update: I changed the file path and then I forgot i didn’t check in changes with my map and lost all the progression over the past few weeks of it but not a big deal since i can now edit it again just got to work extremely hard now to get it back up to scratch. lmao. This is why it’s super important to check in changes :joy:
