vr pawn falls through lift elevator

So I am trying to use a simple matinee lift by adding a trigger box and simple up movement.
I used the standard floor from the starter pack for the lift floor (which same type of floor I can teleport to and stand on)
I am using the virtual reality blueprint content and then loading the motion_controller map.
Everything works well as I can move around with ease and headset tracking is perfect when I click play. I can look around and crouch and teleport on the ground and built floors, but
the moment I get onto the lift it starts to go up as it should and then I go through the bottom of it?
I am trying to figure out how to resolve to stand on where it will carry me up
any suggestions?

Check if elevator static mesh (especially the floor) has collision. Also check if the collision has set Block Pawn.
