VR Editor mode is being funny

So in the VR editor mode the rays from my controllers (OR Touch) pass though all menus and only collide with the scene objects.

This means I cannot interact with any menus in the VR editor.

Anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

can you describe how menus were built? if you created widget added to actor and placed the actor within the world there should not be problem at all. I was working on similar thing (video library menu within VR space) and ray recognises the widget surface and even enables the ovrlay effect:
