VR 5.0.3 - load level instance lighting wants to be rebuilt how do i fix this?

so in 5.0.3 i have a couple of simple levels for running tests for a project

I have also created another level that is just the set dressing (some terrain trees and rocks etc) so its not just some walls and a void

i have that set dressing level load in to the test level so its the same on all tests

only problem is this is VR in 5.0.3 so the thing where the lighting is just constantly updated (probably lumen?) does not work so when the set dressing level is loaded in the editor complains about the lighting needing to be re-built, the landscape terrain has odd square shadows around each segment and overall it does not look correct

How do I fix this? or do i need to just finish my set dressing and copy everything into each level and forget the load level instance thing even exists?
