Been trying virtual production with green screen recently and things are going well until i tried to do some color adjustment to my foreground media footage ( captured on a Blackmagic camera and stream to composure media plate element inside UE 5.1 )
The only place i found where i can do some color adjustment is inside the detail panel of my composure layer , after choosing the way to output ( in my case, it’s the ‘Compositing Media Capture Output’) then i can finally do some color adjustment with the Color Conversion .
Problem with this method is that when it applied the color adjustment , its applied to all the layer under my comp ( the cg layer and the media plate ) . I’m wondering if there’s a way i can do color adjustment to my media plate or to my camera captured video alone before the whole composure layer is ready for output .
The reason i’m not capturing my cg and media plate seperately then compose them inside a third party like AE it’s because wouldn’t that just lose the purpose of virtual production workflow which you are supposed to see you final result instantely and save effort in post production.
Also i found that if i output my composure layer through the ‘Compositing Media Capture Output’ pipeline, it always come with this color change , the color of the final output result it’s different from the one i saw in my viewport . No idea what’s causing this .
