Volumetric Lights and View Distance

Hi. Anyone know what setting affects volumetric light visibility, ie the way it interacts with fog?

I have a Exponential Height Fog component with Volumetric Fog enabled.

I also have a vehicle with 2 spotlights (head lights) with Volumetric Scattering intensity greater than 0.
My issue is that the volumetric effect is only visible when the vehicle(lights) get close to the camera.

I’ve tried various settings on both my lights and in the Volumetric Fog component but cannot get the volumetric effect visible at far distances.

Any feedback appreciated!

Volumetric fog has a limited rendering distance, for distant objects you should consider a different solution such as using material effects
