Volumetric light visibility and distance

Hi. Anyone know what setting affects volumetric light visibility, ie the way it interacts with fog?

I have a Exponential Height Fog component with Volumetric Fog enabled.

I also have a vehicle with 2 spotlights (head lights) with Volumetric Scattering intensity greater than 0.
My issue is that the volumetric effect is only visible when the vehicle(lights) get close to the camera.

I’ve tried various settings on both my lights and in the Volumetric Fog component but cannot get the volumetric effect visible at far distances.

Any feedback appreciated!!

My volumetric light with spotlights just disappears when the camera goes a bit away!

5.1 and I have the same issue, in my case in cinematics. I thought lights culling distance could solve the problem *Culling properties: Min Screen Radius for Lights to low values even 0… but it didn’t work.


In this video, even with game overrides, I cannot have steady lights in the distance so you can spot 2 issues> 1 Volumetric lights appearing 2 change of light resolution I guess
