Volumetric light issue : strange pixelated shapes

For some reason my volumetric lights are either not displaying any volumetrics or are creating wonky shapes with pixellated edges. Moving the light after this shape appears does not move the shape - it remains locked in place - but moving the camera resets it and draws another shape. These shapes appear related to the profile nearby meshes?

I imagine it is something I did, but unsure what. Any wizards know what this is?

*note to self: don’t post at 2AM after struggling for hours to decipher this.

Doh, sorry. Screenshot was present, brain was not.

Bumping with a video in case it helps.

In case anyone else wanders down this rabbit hole, visually resolved this with a lower r.VolumetricFog.GridPixelSize.

Was 6 and I set to 4. Had at 6 for ages without a problem, but did update to 5.5.4 recently so perhaps something shifted.
