I’m making a space game where the scale is 1:1, and you can zoom out pretty far away from your ship (spring arm can reach 30000). Right now I have a couple basic VFX, including a turret that shoots pretty small bullets. My bullets need to be physically simulated.
My placeholder bullet is a simple scaled sphere (0.6, 0.1, 0.1) with an emissive material to fake tracer rounds. From up close, it’s close to what I want to achieve. The effect/scale seems about right and looks very decent.
However as you get away from the ship, the bullet gets so tiny you don’t even see the glow anymore even if I crank up the emissive. You basically can’t see the turret shooting.
I’m trying to find a way to make those bullets visible no matter the distance, but I’m really not sure how to achieve this.
