Virtual Shadows glitch with Quixel Trees and Nanite?

I’m having an issue with weird shadow artifacts once virtual shadows are enabled with the pivot painter versions of the Quixel nanite trees. Anyone know how to fix this?

I’m using 5.3, the default zoo map with this asset Megascans Trees: Norway Maple (Early Access) in Megascans - UE Marketplace (unrealengine.com)

UPDATE: This issue seems to be related to Nanite WPO and virtual shadow maps more generally. I still haven’t found a fix other than switching back to shadow maps or disabling nanite support on the asset. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
