Virtual Shadow Maps pixelated Noise Flickering


The attached file shows the issue. Any ideas how to solve the shadow noise pixelated flickering?

Switching to Shadow Maps fixes it, but I need to use Virtual Shadow Maps.

The trees are instanced foliage.

Ive removed “Cast Ray Traced Shadows” from my light source to fix it for my foliage


Yeah. I tried that too. It didn’t solve the issue, unfortunately.

Another thing - if you see it in editor its not really how its gonna be in a builded game
Cause in editor you have lower resolution. And Lumen, afaik, really needs pixels
So check it by changing the resolution in editor

I just spent like a week fighting with Lumen showing weird noisy shadows when its overcast
Only to find out that its “almost” clear when playing in builded game :cry:

I’ve also encountered this issue. I did a test and found that when using the old version of the NVIDIA driver, the shadows would become normal.
