Live Edit

Steps to Reproduce

Launch Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and open any project.

Go to the Editor Preferences / Settings and locate the viewport movement options.

Change the settings for WASD navigation (e.g., set it to allow WASD movement without needing to click or hold down the right mouse button).

Go back to the viewport and try to move using WASD without clicking anything.

Expected Result

The camera should move freely in the viewport using WASD keys without requiring the user to hold down the right mouse button, as configured in the settings.

Observed Result

No matter what option is selected or checked in the settings, the behavior remains completely unchanged. The user is strictly forced to hold down the right-click to move around with WASD. The settings are ignored.

hi @Tayzen ,

Agree the function has changed from UE5.8/ 6.0-main which remains correct.

The problem is in the Ue6 comments that this is implemented in UEFN this is now implemented in Scene Graph.

There are a few more subtle problems with keyboard handling in Screen Graph in other forum threads.

The most annoying is the tutorial “Introduction to UEFN” shows using UEFN, but this is based on the UE5.8 and saying keyboard shortcut press F2.

If you repetitively press F2 spits ScreenGraph error message then restarts with the Learn more about ScreenGraph logo.
