Very Transparent / Sub Surface Scattering Shader

Does anyone have thoughts on how achieve this look, of a combined Sub Surface Scattering and Transparency. Search Baby Stingrays for more examples of the look I am trying to mimic.

I’ve been trying various things and I just can’t seem to find the right combination of settings to get something that doesn’t have issues with layer sorting.
I want to mimic this look. With an outer skin that has a milky white look, while a few inner organs with their own level of transparency. I’d like to use it for up close non-realtime Visuals/Animations, so I am not looking for an optimized material, just something that matches as closely as I can.

At this point, just creating the outer skin would be a big help. Any pointers in the right direction would be hugely appreciated. I am fairly good at working through things if I have the right direction.

Thanks!

I’ve also seen these plugins for Unity. Now to figure out how to do the similar effect in Unreal, any assistance appreciated.

Any luck?

You could probably fake the whole thing with few layers of parallax.
