Vertices not showing when trying to snap pivot

I’m learning how to use Unreal and I’m using Unreal Engine 4.9.2. When I try to change the pivot point of a static mesh so I can position it correctly I just can’t get the vertices to appear. What I do is hold(alt+v)+middle mouse button on the pivot in translation mode. Nothing appears. What am I doing wrong?

As a side note, I’m also having troubles snapping to other meshes vertices, it works, but it’s quite unreliable. For that I do hold v+translate.

Found a temporal solution, just bind a key to “snap to vertex” in preferences (not the hold to snap to vertex, but the “push once to enable” one). That way it works but it’s still not working with “hold to snap” (V).
