Vertex animations in instanced static meshes stopped moving in 4.26 update

Hi,
I have a bunch of instanced static meshes with vertex animations both as foliage painted as well as spawned as components in Blueprints.
On the 4.26 update they stopped animating and now a sort of translucent shadow animates over the surface.
On their own, the meshes animate fine. It’s only when they are instanced.

Not sure if I am missing something in the update?
Is there anything I can try to get them moving again?
