Hi,

i just installed the latest version 4.12.5 - but i can not louinch it.

i start the louncher end get almoast imediately a crash…

  • Are you getting a crash reporter window? If so, please provide your Machine ID and ensure to hit Send & Close on the window so we can take a look at the crash information.

You do not have any debugging symbols required to display the callstack for this crash.

Hi Sean,

i updated the installed the newest displayport driver - but the crash still happens.

i send i new crash log.

version 4.11.2 runs well btw.

Please provide your dxdiag so I can take a look at your hardware setup to see if there are any potential conflicts.

i have 2 graphics cards in the system

NVIDIA Quadro K4200
GeForce GTX 980 Ti

The Quadro is set to do Graphics rendering only and the GeForce GPU does the Rendering. (Setting in the Nvidia Settings) - but even if i disable this setting i.e. the Quadro does both rendering and Graphics UE behaves the same.

Is this concidered a Optimus configuration too or is this only with a Tesla card??

i checked the software list but there is no software i#m using listed

After the crash occurs, could you please provide the log from your project’s Saved->Logs folder? You can attach the text file to a comment.

Since i can not start the engine at all, i am not sure which project folder you mean.

but there is a link at the top of the crash report window which contains log files from windows - is this helpful?link text

One suggestion I have is that if you are using an Oculus, please try running the editor with it unplugged. If this resolves the crash, please let me know.

i found a solution - not ideal - but it could help the developers to track down the bug.

i configured the nvidia driver to use only one GPU is active. This can be either the K4200 or the GeForce but NOT both.

then the Engine boots and works fine…

but i’d prefer of cause if i could use the full power of my system…
