Summary
We’re encountering a Verse validation error in Creator Portal that persists even after fixing the code in the editor.
Module 5851e89f-573f-4ace-8c80-a5b9698ace94 in candidate link 4727-6037-8900?v=1 has error: “This variable expects to be initialized with a value of type awaitable(true), but this initializer is an incompatible value of type listenable(tuple(player,logic)).” in file: “C:/build/FortniteGame/Plugins/GameFeatures/5851e89f-573f-4ace-8c80-a5b9698ace94/sys/published/Content/VerseDir/ring_manager.verse” at line: 1854
We originally declared two constants as follows:
BeginDetectAwaitable: awaitable() = QuitEvents.BeginDetectEvent
EndDetectAwaitable: awaitable() = QuitEvents.EndDetectEvent
After the update, these declarations started producing type errors. The diagnostics indicate that awaitable(true) is incompatible with the event types listenable(tuple(player, logic)) and listenable(tuple(player, float)).
We resolved the errors in the editor by changing the declarations to:
BeginDetectAwaitable: awaitable(any) = QuitEvents.BeginDetectEvent
EndDetectAwaitable: awaitable(any) = QuitEvents.EndDetectEvent
However, the same errors still appear when attempting to publish through Creator Portal, and Verse validation continues to fail.
Is there anything we need to do on our end to ensure publishing validates the updated code?
