I am finishing up the final stages of a product configurator and am using the variant manager to switch between various color options.
Switching between most options occurs instantly and without issues, except when switching from some colors to others.
For example, when switching from red paint to a dark gray or Dark Matte paint, the color switch is not instant, but seemingly belnds between the two colors. When switching from red to the perfekt black, however, it switch is instant. In the video you can also see that switching form orange or blue doesnt cause issues either. Only red.
As the issue doesnt occur when switching from e.g. orange to any of the other colors, I tried to troubleshoot the issue and make sure it’s not material reated, by duplicating the orange paint and changing the hue to red. Unfortunately the issue reappears when doing this, meaning it’s not related to any specific material settings or carpaint effects (orange peel, flake etc).
Additionally, this issue doesnt seem to happen when the viewed area is in direct sunlight, only when in shadow/darkness/night.
I’ve tried the different AA methods as I thought it might have to do with Temporal Anti Aliasing, but this wasnt the case. Changing the lumen update speed didnt give any visible differences either.
Is this a bug, or an issue that I can fix easily?
