v42.30 Known Issues and Pre-Release Updates

Hello Fortnite developers,

Here’s what to know ahead of v42.30, we have one known issue that we will be working on.

v42.30 Known Issues

Incorrect error message when partying with a player who doesn’t have island access

  • When an island owner parties with a player who isn’t on the island’s team and tries to join using a private island code, the owner sees the error “You don’t have permission to play this content.” The error should say that their party member doesn’t have permission to play the island.
  • Fix targeted for v43.10 (November 12)

Imported Textures Being Flagged

Imported textures, such as icons of existing Fortnite weapons, are being flagged with “Align with Fortnite’s Game Rating” as part of the expanded Content Pre-Checks. We’ve turned off the specific weapons-related moderation nudge to prevent a high volume of nudges while we fine-tune the classifiers.

Reminder: These notifications are early informational flags and not final decisions — they do not block further building in the editor or publishing.
