v41.30 Known Issues and Pre-Release Updates

Hello Fortnite developers,

V41.30 introduces the following known issues from pre-release testing.

Red Ruin Joni persona identifies herself as ““Helsie Midnight””

• When using the “Red Ruin Joni” Fortnite character as an NPC with conversations, her persona contains an incorrect name and she will refer to herself as ““Helsie Midnight””
• Red Ruin Joni is one of the Fortnite characters locked to their voice and persona, so this cannot be corrected by editing the persona in your island.
• Fix targeted for v42.00 (Aug 20)

Touch Control Layout Override may show a blank square while designing a custom layout.

• When using Developer-Customizable Touchscreen Controls, the Touch Control Layout Override may display a blank square while designing a custom layout.
• Fix targeted for v42.00 (Aug 20)

v41.30 Top Community Fixes

The following fixes are from issues that you submitted to us on the forums. Thank you for reporting issues to us.

• Fixed an issue where, on occasion, join-in-progress users are stuttering heavily while moving, have their HP set to 1, and are left with only a Pickaxe.
  • Forum Thread Game bugged 1 HP, no weapon slots, unable to jump or move properly
• Fixed an issue where the letter “E” was sticking to the screen when starting from the matchmaking portal.
  • Forum Thread The letter "E" sticks to your screen when playing from matchmaking portal.
• Fixed an issue where changing the Timer Device properties during an active live session caused UEFN to freeze and become unresponsive.
  • Forum Thread Devices causing crashing on settings change
• Fixed an issue where duplicating the Timer Device caused UEFN to crash
  • Forum Thread Duplicating a Timer Device during Live Edit crashes the editor
• Fixed an issue where Seven Sliders can break the environment while sliding despite having Environment Damage disabled
  • Forum Thread Seven Sliders Can Break the Environment While Sliding
• Fixed an issue where the secondary attack of the Infinity Blade doesn’t deal damage to enemies
  • Forum Thread The Infinity Blade's leap attack deals no damage, the item is tilted when dropped

Updated Fix Versions

The following fixes have moved to v42.00:

• Weapons and items become unusable after interacting with a downed player while using the Mandalorian’s Jetpack
• Party member may be returned to the lobby when uses the Retry option

The following fix has moved to v43.00:

• Live Edit: Push Changes does not trigger for required Volume types
