Using HDRI lighting, foliage & landscape are black and white


I’ve been following this (HDRI Lighting in Unreal Engine – Page 2 – Real Time 3D Architecture Visualization) now until completion and i’ve just done a lighting build which should make it look like the image in the link. Unfortunately, my foliage is white, and I have absolutely no idea how to fix it. I’ve made an imgur ( album showing my problems if any kind soul can help me out this jam! I’m gettin’ jammed up!

If anyone generally could point me in the direction of getting decent lighting, also, i’d be very grateful.

Looks like the issue is in your foliage material. You are using the two-sided foliage shading model but aren’t passing any values into the subsurface colour or opacity inputs. Check out the two-side foliage wiki page to see how it should be setup. Here’s a small example of a simple material using the the foliage shading model.
