URC does not commit and gives error (ref ID + video)

Summary

Started a new project without revision control. Enabled URC and committed. This gives error and doesn’t work.

Enable revision control

Hey @Wertandrew sorry you ran into this. This is a known issue that is occurring when a project was not created with URC from the start and was later turned on.

We have a fix for it coming in 37.00, but in the meantime you can utilize the following steps:

• If you have not used the URC CLI before, please follow the steps to set it up at: Unreal Revision Control Command Line Interface in Unreal Editor for Fortnite | Fortnite Documentation | Epic Developer Community
• Open your project in UEFN
• Once the CLI is set up and your project is open: Open the folder for the project with the error in your Windows File Browser
• Shift+right-click in that folder to open a Terminal or Powershell window
• Type urc2 stage . and press return
• Type urc2 commit "Initial Snapshot" and press return
• Type urc2 push and press return

Hey @Wertandrew, the fix for this will be in the upcoming 37.00 UEFN release which is scheduled to go live Thursday July 7th.
