Upload Speeds in UEFN Session Launch Are Significantly Lower Than Available Bandwidth

Summary

When launching a session and the uploading phase begins, the upload speed is much lower than expected. Despite having a 20 MB/s (200 Mb/s) connection, UEFN only utilizes around 5 MB/s or less during uploads.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Upload assets to your project.
  2. Launch a session in UEFN.
  3. Observe the upload window that shows how much data is being pushed and the current upload speed.

Expected Result

The upload process should utilize my available upload bandwidth (around 15–20 MB/s) for faster content upload.

Observed Result

The upload speed rarely exceeds 5 MB/s, often dropping even lower, despite having a 20 MB/s (200 Mbps) connection.

Additional Notes

The upload process should make better use of available bandwidth to speed up project synchronization and session launch times. The current limited upload utilization significantly slows down testing and iteration.

Just wanna add that mine seems to change depending on the size being uploaded ie 600mb would have faster speed than say 100mb its very weird.

I have 1gb/s and its always in the low value i assume its also down to server usage ect and not directly related to our speeds

That could be true actually but i would love it being improved since if you have a lot of assets it takes a lot of time to upload and cook

Thanks @Flak and I have shared logs with @AlexNC if the team needs it.
