UPDATE: I have found that the culprit is most likely my switchable Intel graphics card combined with my Nvidia GTX 860. I bought this laptop in March and did not foresee it turning the Oculus DK2 into an over-glorified paperweight. Does anyone have any fixes for this problem such as rolling back to old runtimes? Rolling back to windows 8? I have three months left in this game prototype cycle with no budget to drop on a hardware capable Desktop PC.
I have a Lenovo Y70 touch laptop:
Gaming Touchscreen Laptop PC with FHD Display
Intel Core i7-4710HQ 2.5 GHz Processor
16 (2x8 GB) DDR3 RAM; NVIDIA GTX-860M 2GB Graphics
1 TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive, 8 GB Solid-State Drive
17.3-Inch Touchscreen Display; Windows 10 latest updates
Nvidia driver is 361.43
Oculus DK2 with latest runtime 0.8.
Unreal 4.10.2 main release through launcher
Issue: Whenever I use my Oculus DK2 in 4.10.2 I get a black screen when I switch it to VR mode. All blue LEDs are on and no video signal comes through to the headset. Occasionally the LED will turn orange.
Each time I use Vr preview mode I have to switch off my Nvidia drivers and use the Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics card to use my Oculus DK2 in every project file I have. I am also using Leap Motion with the latest drivers but have since isolated the DK2 from Leap to see if that causes any hardware issues. Separating the two has made no changes. Please Advise.
I have noticed other people having the same issue in the forums.
