Yeah Unreal Engine 5 does not work. You will have to use another engine for your project.
Heres the ones im looking into at the moment, give them a look before you get too invested into Unreal Engine (like me).
You are better off getting your assets refunded asap too from Epic because unless its just models you wont be able to use them in other engines.
You should just use Unreal Engine for rough prototypes etc.
