Unreal Water Body River Issues

Hi there,
We are using the Unreal Water System and making a racing game on the water. Our boats are falling through the water usually around tight turns on the outside of the river corner.

In the video, you can firstly see that parts of the river are not registering properly underwater as the underwater post process isn’t visible. These are the same locations that are boats fall through the water. The navigation mesh seems to not be that accurate in these areas as well.

Any ideas how to fix this? Or a workaround? I was thinking about having another volume underneath the water that will stop the boat from dropping down but not sure how to get the buoyancy working for that as well at the moment.
